Assalamualaikum fellow readers.
Alhamdulillah at last my plan to go to Perhentian had became a reality.Last 1-3 May 2016,I was in Perhentian with my close friends for a short budget vacation. We had always wanted and were very eager to see beautiful coral, green and blue sea water, sandy beach, sharks, turtles and hot guys :P

We departed from Butterworth to Kuala Besut at 10pm,nearly missed the bus because of me.I was caught in traffic for a bit, totally forgot about people coming back to kampung because of Hari Buruh/Labour Day holiday.
There is only one bus company that offers transportation from Butterworth-Kuala Besut which is Ekspres Perdana.
We still didn't buy the ticket till 28th,Aida started to freak out and I tried to buy online but damnnnn the website broke down. So,I needed to ask help from ayah.Ayah sponsored my tickets anyway.
It costs only rm46.50 ,and roughly rm97 for two-way-ticket.

We arrived at Kuala Besut around 5.30 a.m ,we then searched for surau to lepak as well as to pray Subuh.
We found the surau, lepak a bit, washed up,and prayed. Then we went for food hunting.
Dina was wearing my hat, which is actually my sister's hehe
At 8 something,we boarded the boat to Perhentian!
Aida and Dina
And me..tell you what, there were a few times my hat nearly blown away by the wind! I'll buy one with the tali after this...
The view along the journey was spectacular,I kid you not.The sea is crystal clear and if you look closely you could see the fish swimming like Michael Phelps.Very fascinating!
Since we are a bunch of cheapos,we stayed at Perhentian Kecil as Perhentian Besar costs lots of money.
Views from the Pulau Perhentian Kecil's jetty
We stayed in MJ Perhentian,we were under package RM325 which included accomodation, meals, snorkelling at Marine Park, snorkeling 5 points, hiking to windmills,sunset-watching at Coral Bay.It is freaking cheap.I definitely recommend their services! Go,
MJ Package !
Chilled a bit while waiting for the room service to clean up the used room
The view from MJ Hostel
For the evening we went to snorkeling at Marine Park.Well, tbh we did not snorkeling.Because I was scared,we just floated around in our lifejackets.Walked around the beach, bought mango juice (rm8) and shared it with the three of us.So cheapskate, setiap makanan yang dikongsi ada berkatnya hahaha.
Idk why Dina was unamused
Penyu,aku duduk atas hang!
the view
on the way back to our accomodation.Aida was clearly the happiest..
After that we went to a stall in Kampung Nelayan (place where we stay at) to buy keropok lekor,I bought 16 pcs and finished 13 by myself.I gave 3 to Aida..hahahaha sedap gila weh.I nearly cried.
We then had chit chat with the local kids, the way they spoke so was soo gangster and funny.
"Kok..kok namo gapo?"
By night,we had nothing else to do,so after dinner we hitted the sack and called it a day...
ZZZzzzzzzzzzzz

Best dayyyyy everrrrrrrrrrrr~
We went to snorkelling 5 points, now we did actually snorkel but we didn't have photos because none of us own a gopro (too broke) and we didn't think of buying waterproof case beforehand. So careless!
Edited :
Our travel buddy,Fakrur, whats apped me the photos after he read this blog post.Asking me why I did not tell him earlier ,had he knew,he would send the underwater photos right away.Aw,so generous of you,Fakoi.
This was taken before we went to snorkelling at 5 points
We did see turtle, soooo big, just like Datuk Kame in Goku XD
This is turtle,penyu,not tortoise.Tortoise is kura-kura.
Dina and Aida gave bread to the fishes.Me?I just screamed and laughed out loud because it was freaaaking ticklish when the fish swam around me.
baby shark,how adorable!
The guys who were also under the same package with us managed to see the sharks. The three of us were already exhausted to swim to the sharks which were like few metres from us so we gave up.I regret the decision haha I mean I can brag to my siblings that I actually saw sharks with my own eyes aite? But nvm..
The coral was spectacular..so colourful and everything..indescribable but I couldn't stand it when my feet touched the corals, all sorts of feeling rushed down ya know.
went snorkeling here too, this is Romantic Beach, not Romantic Bitch, beware of your spelling, hun.
with our travel buddies
Went to this lata only to mandi a bucket of fresh water (air tawar) but it was refreshing nonetheless.
The boatguy took this,so hipster haha
"I have swallowed sea water and had enough salts for a lifetime " is what I kept repeating whilst snorkeling.
But I think Dina had it worst ,when the boatguy literally yanked her to the boat by pulling Dina's lifejacket, she kept swallowing the salty seawater...
For the evening we went for hiking,I was sooo tired but everyone else was energetic so i felt like lil' shit who has low stamina :'(
the yellow-tudung-clad didn't know what was waiting for her..clearly,that was why she beamed with happiness...
We hiked for 30 minutes I supposed,it wasn't that hard.It was just me hahahaha.
the hiking trek reminds me of Broga.
look at the shawl..so messy...and my face..I was definitely exhausted and drenched in sweat, regretted wearing yellow shawl afterwards. But a Kedahan has to show that she is proud of Hijau Kuning even the football team lost to JDT by 4-3 !!!
Aida was cheerful,again..the boys behind were our guides. One of them didn't wear shoes!Gila!
But the hiking was nothing compared to the scenery the nature has to offer. So breathtaking that I forget to breathe in for 10 seconds.Everything is picturesque.Even someone with bad photography skills can have the most wonderful photo ever.
Subhanallah.
if you go down the stairs, you will come to this view.our travel buddies did go down the 5k stairs.not us,we were just happy being on the top haha.spectacular,no?
I thought we will hike using the stairs..oh boy I was so wrong..
After that,I forced Dina to take photos of me.
yes,Dina..tilt the camera a bit
the outcome..omg I was burnt..must be because I am too hawt
the famous armpit pose, actually I was afraid that my hat might get blown away by the wind.
Dina tried to copy my pose...but failed miserably or is it because I am a bad photographer?
The girls and the guys
konichiwaaa
Aida and Dina,again...whose blog is this? ahahah
this is the windmill if you wonder, they have solar system too.But the tour guides told us that the solar system broke down and they were waiting for the government to repair it.
us three! (my legs look longer, aite? )
We then went down and lepak a bit at the Long Beach.
coconut rm8 shared by the three of us,freaking cheapskates hahaaa
walking to watch the sunset in Coral Bay
these two were happy birds
the guy at the back was our boatguy,he was underaged,I recited an ayat from yassin which served as pelindung/pengghaib because he was afraid that he might get fined by the maritime.
Subhanallah
Subhanallah

back to our accomodation
For the night, after dinner we went to watch fire show.It was my idea because I have been dreading to watch one for years..I mean, hot guys, fire, shirtless, dancing,at night, loud music- a perfect sinful combo!
But we were a bit reluctant since there were only three of us,women,on top. So,we decided if the boys weren't going,we will cancel the plan.I was silently crying inside..
Thank God when one of them,Fakhrur told us that they would like to go too. They were so nice, really. The boys even reserved a place for us at the bar (they have alcohol and shisha there which was why we were quite afraid. )
Fret not,the so-called-bar had sittings on the sands..so..yeah..we watched the fireshow for about an hour. From 10pm - 11pm.I had blast,I screamed my heart out when the performers did awesome dance or just simply blew the fire.I wonder why the crowd wasn't too loud, felt sudden embarrassment anyway.
I had the videos on my twitter timeline.Go search @baobeixx ,I unprivate my twitter for a while.Go watch while it is still public hehe.
Told ayah about the fireshow,he was clearly not happy.

Last birthday with '1' in front.I chose these dates because I wanted to spend the last days as teenager on a beautiful island..
Dina with the iconic mural
At 10am we headed back to Kuala Besut.
My heart aches at the thoughts of leaving Perhentian..
Conclusion
I once read Ibnu Battuta's quote which goes
"travel leaves one speechless and turns one into a storyteller"
My teachers in maahad always encourage us to travel,to open our eyes to the beautiful Allah's creations and creatures,to understand others, meet new friends and people.
In Al Quran there are many verses urging us to travel. One of them :
Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how He began creation. Then Allah will produce the final creation. Indeed Allah , over all things, is competent." {20;29}
I reaallyyy had blast here.My advise for girls who want to travel in a small group :
1. Choose your travel partners wisely
2. Plan your trip
3. Know where you want to go,the exact conditions of the place
4. Always update to your parents your whereabout, not just on swarm or twitter.
5. Be prepared
6. Try to cover aurat as much as possible, well I did badly on this one haaaa,so don't follow after me,okay.I shaded already my aurat in the photos :P
7. Take care of ikhtilat,we did bad too on this part. We'll try to improve more.
8. Solat.Make sure you prioritise solat above everything.Jama' and qasar, baby!
Alhamdulillah.
Till next trip!!!
And thanks to everyone who made this possible,to my fellow friends, boatguys as well as our newly-met travel buddies ; million thanks, alfun syukran lakum!!
in sha Allah.

Budget :
RM325 = package
RM110 = bus tickets & taxi fee (went to the town to buy keropok lekor)
RM15 = dinner and breakfast at Kuala Besut
RM20 = hotel,we rested while waiting for our bus to go home which happened to be at 9pm Zzzz
RM10 = slippers,I lost mine in bus.Careless.
RM10 = top up
RM20 = keropok lekor & keropok ikan parang
Total = RM510
I used my allowance for asasi,my biggest advise is not to spend many allowance during studies okay.Don't be like me,I shopped online A LOT.I bought bag, shoes, skin cares,Naelofar Hijabs, dresses and God knows what else I bought.Spend your allowance wisely.Asasi students got RM1.95k per sem which makes RM3900.The tuition and hostel for both sems costs RM1830 in my case.Which left you with RM2070.Eat cheap food in Dengkil, don't go to IOI often, don't go hang out, make sure you spend less and then tadaaa you can go on vacation like me!
My parents sponsored RM200 ; because they did sponsor my sister who already bagpacked to Sabah and Cambodia (two girls only, mind you!) so ask for a bit of money from your parents.Make sure you do the housechores before you start asking. It helps,a lot.
I don't recommend anyone buying t-shirt as souvenirs. It is RM39 for a tee.I mean, this is not FOS or H&M...I am hoping for rm10 tee but I was let down by the price tag eyy eyyy.
